The only international airport is in Paro (PBH). Most travelers fly via Bangkok, Singapore, Delhi, or Kathmandu.
Do I need a visa to visit Bhutan?
Yes. All international travelers (except Indian, Bangladeshi, and Maldivian passport holders) need a visa. We can arrange the visa for you as part of your Journey.
When is the best time to visit Bhutan?
Bhutan is a beautiful and pleasant destination to visit during any season of the year. If you are looking for less crowds (but still lovely weather), we recommend December-February and May-July.
How many days should I stay in Bhutan?
We recommend:
- 5–7 days for a short journey
- 8–10 days for a classic Bhutan journey
- 11–14 days for a full Bhutan exploration

What are the “journeys”?
Our journeys are curated travel experiences designed around specific preferences. Each journey includes different activities, routes, and experiences while maintaining luxury accommodation throughout.
What is included in the Journeys?
All our journeys include:

- All meals
- Transportation within Bhutan
- Monument and museum entrance fees
- Government Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)
Flights to and from Bhutan are usually not included unless specifically requested.
Can Journeys be customized?
Yes. All journeys can be fully customized based on:
- Travel dates

- Interests (culture, hiking, wellness, photography, etc.)

What hotels do you use?

Can I choose my hotels?
Yes. You can choose your preferred hotel for each destination depending on availability and your preferred journey style (luxury, wellness, boutique, etc).
Are all meals included at the hotels?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, both at hotels and during excursions.

Is the Tiger’s Nest hike difficult?
It is a moderate hike and takes about 4-5 hours round trip, on average. Pony rides can be arranged for part of the way,
Do I need to be very fit to travel in Bhutan?
No, but some activities involve walking or hiking. Journeys can be tailored to your fitness level.
What is the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)?
It is a government fee (US$100 per person per day) that supports free healthcare, education, and environmental conservation in Bhutan. This fee is included in the pricing of our Journeys.
How do I book?
To book your trip:

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation policies vary depending on the hotels and season. Full details will be provided before booking confirmation.

What currency is used in Bhutan?
The Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN). Indian Rupees and US Dollars are also widely accepted. Credit cards are accepted in most hotels.
Is Bhutan safe?
Yes, Bhutan is considered one of the safest countries in the world for travelers.
What should I pack?
We recommend:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Light layers for daytime
- Warm jacket for evenings
- Sunscreen and sunglasses
- Modest clothing for visiting temples

Is there internet in Bhutan?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available in all hotels, though speeds may be slower than in major cities.
