Journeys

We don’t sell packages.
We design your dream Bhutan trip, your personal journey in the Land of the Thunder Dragon.

Bhutan is a country for slow travel.
To experience the essence of Bhutan, time, pause, and reflection are required.

We have selected three valleys in Bhutan, each of which offer a different view of the country. Your journey will always start and end in the Paro Valley, where the international airport is based. From there, it is up to you – with help from us.

The journeys below are a starting point.
You will only be staying in selected 5-star properties in Bhutan.

Paro

One Valley Journey

5 nights

Paro Valley, the starting point of every journey into Bhutan

A glimpse of Bhutan is already shown while flying over the country, and preparing for landing at the international airport in the Paro Valley. Home to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, it is the valley where your Bhutanese journey starts and ends. Because of its strategic location, it is the ideal valley to experience all that Bhutan has to offer without the need to change accommodation every night. For the the nature lover, the wellness seeker, or the cultural adventurer, there is a lot to see and to do in and around the Paro Valley, especially in combination with day trips to Thimphu (the capital), the Haa Valley, and the Chele La Pass.

Paro & Punakha

Two Valley Journey

8 nights

Punakha Valley, an active add-on to your Bhutan journey.

On the way to the warmer, more subtropical part of Bhutan, the Dochu La Pass will be passed, a majestic and sacred site, where on bright days, a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the snow-capped Eastern Himalayas can be enjoyed. The Punakha Valley is home to the oldest and most beautiful Dzong (a fort that used to house the spiritual and worldly leadership of the region). The Punakha Dzong was once the center of power in Bhutan, and even now, the spiritual leadership moves there during the winter. The Punakha Valley offers active experiences like mountain biking and river rafting for the adventurous traveller among us.

Let us know your special interests, and we will craft your dream journey in the Paro (5 nights) and Punakha Valley (3 nights).

Paro, Punakha
& Gangtey

Three Valley Journey

11 nights

Gangtey Valley, a mind-nourishing add-on to your Bhutan Journey

The correct name of this valley is the Phobjikha Valley. It is commonly referred to as Gangtey Valley because of the prominent 17th-century Gangteng Monastery situated on a hill overlooking the vast, U-shaped glacial valley in central Bhutan. The Gangtey Valley is a designated conservation area, a protected wetland, and the winter home for the endangered black-necked cranes. The Gangtey Valley is a place to contemplate, to rest and reflect in silence, a beautiful place for the mindful traveler.

Let us know your special interests, and we will craft your dream journey in the Paro (5 nights), Punakha Valley (3 nights) and Gangtey Valley (3 nights).

Accommodation

During your luxury Bhutan journey, you will only stay at carefully selected 5-star properties in Bhutan.

How did we select these properties?

We looked for places that operate beyond the common notion of a 5-star hotel.

We did not look for conventional luxury; we looked for…
Places that focus on excellent service and personal care;
Places that respect Bhutanese culture and local communities;
Places that offer more than an overnight stay.

Every property during your Bhutan journey will offer exceptional experiences, from a consultation with a Traditional Bhutanese Medicine Doctor to midnight stargazing and sunrise breakfast with the monks.

Not a hotel, but your home away from home.

Did not find what you were looking for?

No problem. That means we dive deeper.
Tell us what matters to you, and how long you have. We will build your Bhutan journey from there.
